CALLING ALL SUPPORT WORKERS We want to hear from you

FLEXIBLE working opportunities for experienced Support Workers in a 2-2-1 supported-living home in Derby

You will be working in a small supported-living unit with cares for service users who suffer from learning disabilities and mental health issues.

Some of the service users may demonstrate behaviour that is challenging, so previous experience with handling this kind of behaviour is preferred.

You will build a good working relationship with the service user and help by providing companionship.

Duties include:

Supporting daily living activities such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and booking appointments
Helping service users remain independent where possible
Maintaining health and safety standards and complying with requirements of the home
Reporting any incidents to senior staff
Reporting condition updates and recording fluid intake

Experience & Qualifications:

As an experienced Support Worker, you will need:

An Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months
Up to date Infection Control, Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults and Moving & Handling training
A Referenceable work history
At least 3 months experience within a similar setting

Due to the location of the service, it is recommended that you have access to your own transport.

If you do not have a valid DBS and/or training, do not worry as we can help you with this.
