Contract:
Permanent, Full-time, Monday to Friday

As NY Highways continues to grow, we are looking for a motivated and experienced Supervisor to join our Area 4 team.

Based at Kirby Misperton you will be an integral member of our Operations Team and help us to deliver the best service to the local community.

Working across Ryedale district, you will play an important part in ensuring NY Highways deliver a wide variety of civil engineering and infrastructure projects across North Yorkshire.

This is a varied role, and you will supervise the delivery of different workstreams, which involves a wide range of routine and cyclical highway maintenance activities including kerbing, concrete work, paving and slabbing, laying asphalt, iron work, boundary fence repair and maintenance, sign erecting and vegetation works.

Working as part of a team, you will ensure work is delivered to the highest standard whilst following Safety, Health and Environmental policies and risk assessments.

You will have good communication skills to work effectively with your NY Highways colleagues as well as being able to work within set timeframes with a flexible working approach, including some out of hours working.

Collaborating closely with management, the role of Supervisor will be able to motivate others and is confident leading and mentoring junior colleagues including the on boarding on new starters and Apprentices.

Taking part in staff appraisals, being a support for your colleagues and setting safety performance measures will all be important aspects of this role.

You will demonstrate excellent organisation skills, be capable of maintaining site and financial records, and leading diverse teams in project execution.

Timekeeping and task prioritisation are key, as you will ensure materials and equipment are delivered promptly to meet customer expectations, even in challenging weather conditions.

Experience in highways construction
Experience of managing and developing Health and Safety processes
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
