Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA)
Length: 3 months ongoing Hours: 37 Start date: Immediate Caritas Futures are recruiting for an Independent Domestic Violence Advocates (IDVA) to work with a well know charity.
Duties:
Working closely with high risk victims of domestic violence in order to provide a high-quality independent advocacy and support service Managing a caseload Supporting clients over the phone and video calls and providing both crisis management and ongoing support Assessing referrals, signposting to additional services and supporting client Advocating on client's behalf and advising clients on all aspects of the criminal justice system Assisting clients with witness statements, advising on legal options and signposting to
Legal Services Essential Requirements:
Extensive experience of supporting and advocating on behalf of Domestic Violence victims Ability to crisis manage and work well under pressure Strong organisation and diary management skills Proven success of carrying and managing a high case load.
