What you will do in your working day

Typical day-to-day duties will include:

  • Preparing, controlling and conducting manufacturing operations Checking materials
  • CNC router
  • CNC Laser
  • Turret Punch
  • Press Break
  • Welding
  • Paint Coating
  • Assembly
  • Finishing operations


The role will be varied, gaining skills and experience within the different manufacturing work centres including CNC router, CNC laser, turret punch and press brake, welding, paint coating and assembly.


The apprentice will gain a thorough understanding of metal fabrication designs and principles, engineering drawings, processes and quality control and will become fully skilled in setting and operating machines to produce components.


What to expect before starting

Before starting, we aim to train and upskill individuals with our NOCN accredited courses, these will be once a week, every two weeks, over a three month period. Upon completion of each course, you will receive a certificate. Not only does this look amazing on your CV for employers, but you're able to upskill yourself at zero cost

Pay:
£13,312.00-£23,712.00 per year
