EPA Manufacturing Ltd is based near the city of Lincoln, at Wickenby.

EPA Manufacturing Ltd, is a leading specialist ammunition manufacturer working within the global Defence Industry.
Established for over 15 years, we have recently moved to a brand-new facility near Lincoln due to continued expansion.

We are an approved supplier to many Defence Organisations in the UK and worldwide, currently exporting to over 30 countries.

The move has created an exciting opportunity for a Production Support Operative to join our team.

This position is suited to a well-disciplined person with a methodical approach and an eye for detail, someone who is looking to advance within a growing organisation.

This position is based in our Production Department and answers to the Production Support Manager.


Production Support responsibilities and duties


This is a very hands-on role to support production by ensuring all testing of products is done in a timely manner, making and testing samples, taking measurements and carefully recording results, supporting projects and production at all times.

It is essential that testing keeps pace with production to enable a smooth work flow.

Being able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of communication. Good literacy and numeracy are important for data analysis and preparing reports which are central to this role.


Help to create project plans, SOPs and documentation for production, liaising internally to ensure the test methods being used reflect company procedures and best industry practice.


Production Support qualifications and skills laboratory experience in an ISO9001 environment would prove useful.

A level/or equivalent in Chemistry/Physics/Math or working experience in an energetic environment.

Knowledge and understanding of energetic products.

Excellent planning & organisational skills.

Good written & verbal communication skills.

Basic Computer literacy.

Driven & motivated to learn new skills.

Strong attention to detail.

Adaptable to changing working practices / demands.

Demonstrate good time management and motivation.

Understanding of Quality Control (QC) procedures would be an advantage.

Flexible 4-day week with occasional shift work
