Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Apprenticeship tutor / assessor to join our team.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing specialist training and mentorship to aspiring individuals participating in our various apprenticeship programmes, particularly focusing on media, creative and leadership related skills.

Responsibilities:


  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for apprentices
  • To train apprenticeship learners in an education, hybrid environment
  • To give additional support where necessary and make assessment decisions to judge competence against their chosen apprenticeship programmes.
  • Maintain high delivery standards
  • Maintain compliance in accordance with guidelines set by the relevant governing bodies

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess the individual needs and skill levels of apprentices assess prior achievements, identify learner suitability for the apprenticeship, and create personalised training plans to address their areas for improvement.
  • Identify learner support needs e.g. Essential Skills and Soft Skills
  • Provide handson guidance and support to apprentices in developing their media production skills and creating compelling content across various platforms and mediums.
  • Conduct workshops, training sessions, and oneonone coaching to enhance the apprentices' technical skills and creative abilities in media production.
  • Assist in the selection and evaluation process of potential apprentices, including reviewing portfolios and conducting interviews.
  • Stay uptodate with industry trends, new technologies, and emerging platforms related to media and content creation to ensure the training materials are current and relevant.
  • Coordinate and provide access to relevant resources, tools, and materials required for the apprentices' training and projects. Ensuring that the apprentices have the necessary equipment, learning materials and software to effectively participate in the programme.
  • Conduct periodic performance tasks related to the apprentices' skills, growth, and overall performance. Provide constructive feedback and recommendations for improvement.
  • Assist in administrative tasks related to the apprenticeship programme, such as maintaining documentation, updating records, coordinating schedules, and communicating programme updates to apprentices.
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate records of apprentices progress and learning plans
  • Collaborate with other staff members and professionals to provide an holistic approach of support
  • Participate in team meetings and provide updates on apprentices / the programmes progress and impact.

Requirements:


  • Proven experience in mediarelated fields such as content creation, writing, photography, videography, graphic design, or social media management.
  • Excellent knowledge of media production techniques, content creation best practices, and emerging trends.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively mentor and guide apprentices.
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback and motivate apprentices to achieve their full potential.
  • Proficiency in media production tools and software.
  • Flexibility to adapt training methods and approaches based on the needs of individual apprentices.
  • Prior experience in training or teaching roles is preferred.
