Taylor Stevenson and happy to announce they are working with a successful precision engineering company based is Halifax who specialise in machining precision, high tolerance components that are used in various industries such as Nuclear, Oil & Gas and Rail among many others.

Due to recent growth and expansion they are looking for a CNC Miller to join their team at their HQ This is a full time position with working hours of - 4:30 Monday - Thursday and - 2:30 Fridays however they offer a flexible hour at the start of each day allowing you to start a hour earlier and hence finish an hour earlier each day This role is paying between
£17 - £18.50 per hour D.O.

Your responsibilities/duties include:

  • Programming jobs unaided from drawings using Heidenhain Control
  • Uploading programs and programming jobs with 4th axis
  • Loading machines with vices and fixtures.
  • Reading and working from technical drawings/diagrams.
  • Load tooling with correct offsets to ensure the work is carried out the highest quality to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Experience using the Heidenhain control and is competent in doing so.
  • Experience operating a CNC Milling machine.
  • Reading and working from technical drawings
  • Programming experience.
  • Experience working from diagrams/technical drawings.

Salary:
£17.00-£18.50 per hour


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Halifax: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:


  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

Experience:


  • Milling: 1 year (required)
  • Heidenhain: 1 year (required)
