**I am a full-time wheelchair user seeking a personal assistant to provide essential support and help improve the quality of my daily life. I am looking for a dedicated and compassionate personal assistant who can assist me with daily living activities. I currently live in my family home with my husband, one child, and two pet dogs. I am looking for a PA who would help me remain independent and provide companionship to improve my wellbeing.

Job Description:


  • Assisting with daily living activities, including meal preparation, personal hygiene, and personal care
  • Proficient in using a hoist for transfers.
  • Providing support in and around the house to ensure a comfortable and safe environment.
  • Empowering and assisting in maintaining my independence.
  • Offering companionship and emotional support to enhance my general wellbeing.
  • Assisting during outings and excursions
  • Willingness to perform any other reasonable duties as requested.
Person specification


Essential:

  • Female personal assistance due to the personal care aspect
  • Full UK driving license holder with appropriate business insurance cover.
  • The person I employ, must have an understanding of the need for confidentiality in all areas of work including total respect for my privacy.
  • If this position requires any of the following, the employee will be required to complete free annual training:

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Dogfriendly, as there are pet dogs in the family home.
  • Flexibility in working hours to accommodate the individual's needs.
Summary terms and conditions

  • The rate of pay for this position is £15.00 per hour.
  • Hours and times of work: 16 Hours per week Flexible, Time discussed further at interview.
  • The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks.
  • Free Care Skills training is provided to employed staff.
  • A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.
  • Satisfactory references from two referees, one of whom must be your current or last employer.
  • Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 3 months
