Due to company expansion we are seeking to recruit Education Welfare Officers to work in North Devon and to cover two schools in the Exeter area.
The current post being advertised is a 0.6 term time only contract (3 days a week). However, there may be capacity to increase the number of days worked in the future. Hours will be calculated on an annualised basis and contracts are term time only (38 weeks). Pay shown is based on these hours and is negotiable based on previous experience - having the correct staff matters to us
Duties may involve advising parents/carers and children/young people on attendance matters as required and encouraging good home/school relationships which may involve counselling, building self-esteem and mediation.
2) Education Legislation and how this impacts on school attendance; pupil registration and school exclusions.
SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills
Ability to liaise with Headteachers and other Senior Staff
Mediation Skills
Ability to use IT including Word and Excel.

Ability to work to deadlines whilst under pressure
Ability to work with a variety of people under a variety of circumstances.

Job Types:

£13,000.00-£16,000.00 per year
