Nelipak, Elsham is our facility that has been developing flexible
packaging solutions for the last 25 years.

Due to continued growth, we are now having a fantastic opportunity for an
EXTRUSION OPERATOR to become part of our friendly team

Purpose of the role:
Operate and maximize production of Extrusion Department machines which meets customer specifications in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver Film to production areas as required
Return all film to stock
Select materials and operating supplies in accordance with job specification
Carry out job setup in a safe and efficient manner following warmup and setup procedures
Carry out process inspection checks to ensure product meets specifications informing results to Team Leaders
Monitor machine controls hourly to ensure product quality and safe operation. Problem solve where necessary
Unload and record product. Palletise product in accordance with internal requirements
Weigh and record reels. Accurately complete production report in Mill system to ensure correct time recording and product identification
Keep machine and surrounding area safe, clean and tidy
Empty waste skips during and at end of shift, ensuring that external skips are covered at all times
Remove external packaging and transfer external film from wooden pallets to plastic pallets
Inform Maintenance of any work required to prevent breakdowns
Cover Team Leader as required
Other duties commensurate with the level of position
