Introduction_**GroupM is on a transformative journey to make advertising work better for people.


This role will be part of a larger team, providing services to mobilise the new strategic vision set by our Global leadership team to future-proof the business and provide the best service, products and technology to serve our clients changing digital needs.

You will play an integral part in delivering transformation change initiatives to our business and agencies.

In order to realise this vision of exponential 'connected growth', a new team of transformation professionals is being embedded in the business led by our Chief Transformation Officer.


_Approach_
Adopting a 'people first approach' and 'agile' approach to business transformation, this new team of professionals will work cross-functionally across the business ensuring:

  • The right balance of new skills and widest variety of lived experience is injected accross the business to complement our rich heritage right accross the business. Fostering a culture of continuous learning, inclusion and fairness.
  • Establish and document 'brilliant basics' in every core operation of the business, embracing a principle of continuous improvement to ensure our people have the time to focus on our customers strategic needs, offshoring or automating time consuming, low value tasks
  • Ensure that tools and technology are integrated, rationalised and built with the business user and purpose in mind so they are easily and willingly adopted by those who will benefit most from their use
  • The integration of operational data right accross the organisation, solving for a single source of truth that provides the business with a source of 'continuous intelligence' that keeps us pointed in the same direction, enables agile decision making and surfaces potential opportunities to grow commercial success

Role Overview_**The Managing Partner Operational Excellence is responsible for raising the bar of operational excellence across the UK market, advocating and educating teams on the importance of operational excellence in securing commercial success.

Working to a principle of continuous process improvement, they will lead the integration of our processes cross-entity as we transform, seeking opportunities to offshore /nearshore/automate as we go.


This role also includes UK delivery of globally and regionally agreed corporate strategy and is a key interface between the GroupM Exco, the wider GM business and UK agency leadership teams, working across all stakeholder groups ensure the strategy is realised.

_Responsibilities_

  • Design and implementation of a process excellence strategy and framework, with clear goals and measures that guide the team to deliver true operational excellence and efficiency through implementation of that plan
  • Lead the change management required to implement new processes, designing frameworks that encompass and guide the identification of skills gaps and associated core competencies that inform recruitment, training collateral and learning paths
  • Daily leadership of your direct teams and extended stakeholder groups from across the network on key operational initiatives
  • Lead and facilitate workshops within crossfunctional communities to plan and build for interoperability, identifying core endtoend processes to be simplified, automated and offshored, identifying core dependencies and owners are identified and held accountable.
  • Work with our agencies in a consultative manner to ensure successful integration of GroupM strategic changes whilst ensuring we are identifying and prioritising client needs
  • Connect the Operational Excellence team to key stakeholders across the T&I squad and the GM network to drive through future facing changes and improvements to our networkwide offer
  • UK representative on GroupM global operational strategy projects, responsible for representing the best interests of the UK market and ensuring we leverage the work done by other markets to benefit UK clients.
  • Be a key advocate for change and an active lead
