About you:


You will have a good knowledge and understanding of Brass instruments and be able to perform to a high standard on at least one of the brass family.

You will have some experience of teaching in small or larger groups and if possible some experience and or ability in leading mixed instrumental ensembles.

Training in all aspects of teaching will be provided by the CMS through its regular CPD programme. Applications are welcomed from both qualified, newly qualified or unqualified teachers.

The Community Music Service is located in the thriving east London borough of Barking & Dagenham.

The local area is well served by transport links throughout east London and by both rail and tube lines to central London.

The CMS is a highly successful music service that delivers instrumental music lessons to over 2,500 pupils in schools and other settings across the borough through its First Access programme WCET, small group and individual lessons.

The CMS partners with a wide range of external organisations to maximise opportunities for child and young people which include performing with the LSO in Trafalgar Square to participating in the Gateway 2 Music Band Live competition.
