About the School

We are currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated early years Teaching Assistants to join an amazing school in the Newcastle area.

As an Early Years Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work supporting teachers and students on their learning journey.

This role offers flexibility, working between the hours 8:30am -4:30pm and the chance to gain valuable experience in a really supportive school environment.

EYFS Teaching Assistant Role

To support individuals and groups to help them learn.
To establish an effective and purposeful learning environment in partnership with the teachers and other colleagues.
To support teachers in assessing the needs of individual children.
To observe, record and feedback information on pupil performance.

Requirements of the role

Previous experience working with young children, preferably in a childcare or educational setting.
Relevant qualifications in early childhood education or a related field
(e.g., CACHE Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education).

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, colleagues.
A patient, nurturing, and enthusiastic approach to working with young children.
An understanding of child development and the ability to support children's learning through playbased activities.
RTW in the UK and a fully checkable work history

Interviews and trials are taking place right now for this exciting opportunity, with a view to commencing the role ASAP.

In addition to that, GSL Education are currently offering £100 for the successful referral of either Teachers or Teaching Assistants.
