Description
This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the North East's largest and most successful housing providers.


In this role, you will ensure procurement services meet customers' expectations and priorities and that customers have opportunities to influence service delivery.


Job Requirements:

  • Deliver excellent, consistent, and responsive procurement services, which include:
  • Procuring contracts for goods, services and works in line with Company
policy and all relevant UK legislation.

  • Supporting management and delivery of contracts
  • Prepare and manage a range of procurement exercises
  • Implementing audit recommendations
  • Monitoring and reporting, identified key suppliers
  • Deliver procurement services that are inclusive and accessible to all customers and provide excellent customer service at all times.
  • Identify opportunities for service improvements and make recommendations to the Procurement Manager.
  • When required, participate in new initiatives that will lead to improvement in performance and service delivery.
  • Support a variety of inclusive and effective customer involvement opportunities
  • Research industry good practice and identify opportunities to develop, enhance and/or improve your service area
  • Contribute to the delivery of the Group's Procurement policy and ensure compliance with this and all relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.

Job Requirements:

  • Previous procurement experience
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • IT skills including the use of Microsoft packaged including Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as within a team
  • Public procurement experience, desirable but not essential

Salary:
£31,669.00 per year
