_Macildowie Recruitment and Retention_ have partnered with one of the Midlands' leading manufacturers/distributors of synthetic materials to help them recruit a Procurement Manager.


This role will suit:


  • Someone who thrives with autonomy.

  • Working alongside internal stakeholders production/sales/marketing.

Headlines:


  • Growing company.
  • 55k60k salary.
  • 5 days office
  • Hours of 8:30am 5:00pm.

The Role:


  • Responsible for all sourcing activity.
  • Overseeing all direct spend.
  • Working closely alongside the production team.
  • Lead on strategic procurement for the business.
  • Onboarding new suppliers, and developing lasting relationships with current suppliers.
  • Continuously looking for new ways to source key commodities.
  • Compile, understand and interpret data which pertains to departmental performance.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor strategies.

Technical Competencies:


  • Has 3/4+ years experience within direct procurement.
  • Has managed a team of 2+ heads.
  • CIPS, desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Willing, cando attitude.
