We have an exciting opportunity to join Forensic Healthcare Services as a Co-Production Lead in our Forensic Healthcare services.

This role is integral to the delivery of our Clinical Strategy, ensuring that service users and their carers are heard and that we continue to work collaboratively and innovatively to improve the patient experience.

You will be working as part of a team of professional leads and operational managers to influence and achieve our participation strategy as well as working closely with the Trust participation team.

The Co-Production lead will work across our community and inpatient services in East and West Sussex.


To champion the importance of patient and carer experience in shaping Forensic Healthcare services, ensuring this is at the heart of activities and informs service improvement.


To implement Participation related policies and support and share these and support colleagues in understanding these policies and how they impact on their roles and function.

To ensure that the quality of the participation activity that occurs in your Division or Specialist Service is of a high standard and is in line with the standards set via the central Participation Team

To coordinate Expert by Experience activities including delegating responsibilities.


To respect the individuality, values, cultural and religious needs of service users and carers and ensure that engagement activities always consider diversity and inclusion in their set up, practice and review.

To be responsible for monitoring patient and carer feedback and satisfaction in the Forensic Healthcare Service.


To support the development, organisation and delivery of events, conferences and workshops with a focus on patient and carer experience.
