Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervising and supporting the admin team, ensuring that they are trained, motivated, and working effectively.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with the team and other stakeholders.
  • Monitor team workload and coordinate training activities to minimise resource concerns.
  • Deliver training and mentoring established staff on processes and procedures.
  • Schedule staff and annual leave to adequately cover operational requirements.
  • Communicate policy changes to team when required.
  • Ensuring that all administrative tasks are carried out accurately and in a timely manner, including patient registration, appointment booking, and medical records management.
  • Liaising with the Assistant Practice Manager and Practice Manager to ensure that all administrative processes are aligned with the practice's strategic objectives.
  • Monitoring and maintaining a high level of customer service.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of new administrative processes and systems to improve efficiency and patient care.
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy and quality in data entry and recordkeeping.
  • Analyse administrative protocols to identify and mitigate potential risk.
  • Facilitate smooth information transfers between clinical and admin staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Ensuring compliance with NHS guidelines and regulations, including data protection and patient confidentiality.

Requirements:


  • Previous experience in a supervisory role within a healthcare setting preferable but not essential.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent organisational and timemanagement skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Sound knowledge of administrative processes within a healthcare setting.
  • A commitment to providing highquality patient care and customer service.
  • Knowledge of NHS guidelines and regulations, including data protection and patient confidentiality.

Job details:

  • Hours - Mon
  • Fri, 11am7pm
  • Full-time Salary - 37.5h/w
  • Annual Leave - 30 days + BH
  • Probation - 6 months

Salary:
From £12.27 per hour

Education:


  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

  • Administrative experience: 1 year (preferred)
