Description

The Artisan Partners UK LLP Corporate Accounting team is responsible for the accounting, financial reporting, measurement and reporting of financial resources, regulatory reporting, tax reporting, and payroll.


As a Finance Associate, you will play a crucial role in the financial management and accounting functions, with a specific focus on accounts payable, expense management, and assisting with month-end close processes.

The UK Corporate Accounting team is a small team that offers much opportunity to be involved in diverse and unique finance related projects in support of a global asset management firm.

The Finance Associate role offers ample room for personal and professional growth for an individual who possesses a strong desire to learn and a keen interest in the investment industry.

Responsibilities:


  • Process accounts payable invoices and manage associated expenses
  • Oversee the business fixed asset and lease systems
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations using the Blackline System
  • Prepare and post monthly journals to record accruals/prepayments and other accounting entries
  • Support the annual audit process
  • Assist with payroll preparation and regulatory reporting
  • Assist with management accounts for the Board and other key stakeholders
  • Support Human Capital related matters such as benefit renewals and associate enrollment
  • Prepare other adhoc reporting and work on finance and accounting projects as necessary

Qualifications:


  • Partqualified accountant
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA
  • Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, or a business degree with demonstrated academic achievement
  • Minimum two years of experience in financial services
  • Familiarity with IFRS accounting principals
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and a willingness to learn and use new systems
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain crossfunctional relationships
  • Dedication to quality and accuracy and operate with a sense of ownership
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience with Workday and/or Blackline system (strongly preferred)
