Salary:
£65k - £80k DOE + company benefits


Location:
Brighton (remote initially and then hybrid working)


Hours:
Mon-Fri 9am pm

Are you a dynamic and experienced Accounts Manager that has a proven background within an accountancy practice and now wants to take on a new and exciting role within an expanding IT solutions organisation that offers outsourced financial assistance to the USA and UK based property industry?


My client is looking for an experienced Accountant/Associate Director to join their team to lead their financial services team and offerings.

My client offers a full-service accountancy business with specialisation for the property industry covering the following:


  • Client outsourcing.
  • Financial setup and data migration.
  • Financial statements and reporting.
  • Tax, VAT and all related HMRC returns.
  • Accountants review of client's client money accounts.


The role will involve developing and growing a new team in Brighton that provide outsourced and accountancy services to the real-estate/property industry, and to grow the Brighton office to 20-30 staff over the next 3 years.


Responsibilities:


  • To work with the General Manager to establish the new office and start up practice in Brighton.
  • Take on the management of existing staff.
  • Developing Accountants reports of clients' money accounts.
  • Recruit and build the team to match the growth of the business.
  • Research and explore supporting the US clients with bookkeeping services.
  • Leading a team of professionals, fostering a positive work culture, and providing mentorship and guidance to enhance their skills and capabilities.
  • Financial Reporting and Compliance.
  • Overseeing financial reporting, tax compliance, and auditing activities to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Proven management experience within an accountancy firm, that has managed a varied portfolio of clients for all their statutory financial accounts and requirements.
  • ACCA of ACA qualified.
  • Great IT skills inclusive of Word, Excel and using accountancy software packages XERO.
  • Experience of handling multiple clients and preparing accounts and HMRC returns.
  • Great communication skills with the ability to get the best out of your team.
  • Ideally have experience of working with property clients, lettings agents and professional landlords with property portfolios.
  • Interested in software and property technology.
  • Ability to implement new processes and procedures.
  • Driven, strategic, proactive with the ability to problem solve and contribute new ideas to improve the business.


This is a unique opportunity to build a new team and play a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of the Brighton office, working closely with the directors in both the UK and USA to drive the firm's growth and development.
