Contract - 6 Months - 450/500 Outside - Remote


Our government body client is currently on the search for a network engineer, to aid them with their journey from on-prem to in the cloud.


Your job will be to design and build their new network infrastructure, mainly supporting network migration from Cisco to Arista.

Networking:


  • Substantial experience with Cisco, Arista, Palo Alto and Juniper MX
  • Routing & switching
  • Common design topologies for layer 2 & 3 services
  • Palo Alto firewall administration
  • Experience with Campus wired and WIFI deployments
  • Strong knowledge of OSPF design together with performance tuning
  • Strong knowledge of BGP design and operational management
Requirement for network engineering services

  • Expertise with data centre management and best practices
  • Experience with VMware Network
  • Certified to at least CCNP
  • Knowledge and experience of Agile working, including such disciplines as Kanban, feedback, retrospectives, VFQ.
  • Risk aware, focused on risk reduction and mitigation
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Effective team working and technical decision making
  • Quality focused, due care and attention taken to ensure solutions and platform meet their quality criteria and the team standards set
  • Experience of working independently and taking ownership of deliverables
  • Creativity taking new approaches to tackle problems; embracing innovation and sharing knowledge with a range of sources and stakeholders
