Days required:
Monday to Friday

Times:
Roughly 7.30am - 3.30pm (36 hours per week)

Location:
Based around the east London area

Pay Rate:
£14.35 per hour

Duties:

To undertake any work in connection with highway maintenance, civil engineering and construction including footway repairs, carriageway repairs, highways drainage, gully and sewer cleansing, sign manufacture and erection, and the construction of vehicle crossovers.

To carry out emergency repair work within the borough as and when required in and out of core hours and provide a supportive role in the event of a local or national emergency.

To operate safely the necessary heavy plant and machinery in connection with the activity being undertaken.

To carry out winter maintenance work, including gritting (by hand or mechanical means), assisting with delivering salt, snow clearing or any other work in connection with the winter service policy.

Requirements:

Full UK Manual Driver's Licence (CPC Desirable but not essential)

Safety Boots

Previous experience working with Highways maintenance (Desirable but not essential)

Willingness to work in all weather conditions - job will but very manual
