Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Clinical Coding Service as a Band 6 Clinical Coding Quality Assurance Lead.

The post holder will assist in the design, and lead in the delivery of an internal systematic clinical coding audit program to approved NHS Digital Classification Standards.

This includes ensuring audit takes place both on individual clinical coders, the team as a whole and speciality/clinical areas.

This will help ensure the correct income is secured against activity via the coding process and that clinical coders are routinely monitored for accuracy and depth.

You will assist in the design and implementation of policies and action plans in response to both internal and external audit.

You will also work with the Head and Deputy Head of Clinical Coding to deliver a robust programme to combine audit outcome and feedback with training needs analysis to ensure that the coding competencies are consistently maintained.

In addition, you will assist in leading the development and delivery of a robust coding audit schedule to meet Information Governance Standards and any other monitoring bodies requirements such as National Tariff assurance.
