MYM Recruitment are delighted to be working with our client in Draperstown who are seeking a Project Co-Ordinator to join their Mental Health Support Team.

Location:
Hybrid (remote working & office based), Draperstown


Summary of main responsibilities:


  • Managing general office procedures.
  • Organising classes.
  • Managing a team of counsellors to ensure the smooth running of the counselling service.
  • Maintaining clear records (quantitative and qualitative) in accordance with statutory, community and voluntary standards.

Job Duties:


  • Answerable to Committee and to attend committee meetings.
  • Organise, maintain and promote weekly classes.
  • Organise appointments, ensure room and counsellor availability for the smooth running of the counselling service.
  • Reception duties, answer calls (including but not limited to dealing with a person in crisis), schedule appointments and signpost to other agencies.
  • Schedule meetings, workshops, training and group supervision for counsellors.
  • Process invoices and meet regularly with Treasurer
  • Manage health and safety requirements.
  • Manage Safeguarding procedures in a Health & Social Care environment and knowledge of safeguarding laws.
  • Manage and monitor resources and supplies.
  • Ensures all paperwork complies with relevant governance and obligations to essential regulatory bodies.
  • Manage the complaints procedure.
  • Prepare monthly management reports for Committee meetings.
  • Organise and audit the systems, database and procedures. Make amendments as needed.

Essential Qualifications

  • Be educated to QCF/NVQ/Diploma/Level 5 in relevant field such as Community Development, Project Management, Advice and Guidance
  • Minimum 5 GCSE's (including English & Maths) or equivalent.
  • ASIST Training or equivalent

Desirable Qualificatons

  • Completed a specialised relevant accredited course and/or relevant training and experience in a related skill area applicable to mental health
  • First Aid training.

Essential Skills

  • Excellent organisational skills to include the ability to organise workload to prioritise effectively and maintain service user and charity records in line with GDPR.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and independently.
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written and the ability to adjust the style and content of communication to meet internal and external needs, for example delivering training and facilitating organisations.
  • Ability to build good working relationships with individuals and organisations and work effectively as a team member.
  • Knowledge/understanding of rural community needs.
  • Ability to work flexible hours with the 25hr post, this post will include evening and weekend work.
  • Possess a full current driving licence and access to a car with relevant insurance. Consideration will be given to alternative travelling arrangements in respect of applicants who cannot hold a driver's licence.
  • A minimum of 12 months working within the mental health field.
  • A minimum of 12 months working in the field of community development.
  • A minimum of 12 months experience of managing a service/project.
  • Experience of motivating, supporting and mentoring a team.

Desirable skills

  • Experience working in rural communities.
  • Experience of and working with and/or providing services to at risk clients.
  • Experience of working in mental health related field and working collaboratively with other relevant statutory and non-statutory bodies.
To undertake such other reasonable duties as may be required from time to time require

Salary:
£16,500.00-£17,500.00 per year
