40 hours a week

Job Role:
- Motivated by child development, contribute to a team providing high-quality care for children from birth to 5 years.
- Ensure a welcoming environment where children and families can feel valued and receive support.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support and guide parents/carers to enhance their skills and boost confidence.
- Maintain a safe, stimulating learning environment following EYFS guidelines.
- Plan and deliver effective activities for children's development.
- Provide learning experiences promoting independence and confidence.
- Monitor children's progress and maintain records.
- Collaborate with professionals and assist in child care.
- Ensure safety procedures, cleanliness of the room, and equipment.
- Participate in training and comply with policies and regulations.
- Undertake additional duties as needed.
Person Specification
Nursery Practitioner
Qualification
- Childcare qualification NVQ, equivalent, or higher
Experience
- Experience in diverse environments and commitment to equal opportunities.
Skills
- Knowledge of Ofsted Standards and EYFS
- Ability to speak multiple languages
General
- Ability to travel between sites
- First aid qualification
- Respect and communicate the YMCA's ethos
