EL/PL Associate - Manchester or Leeds

My client is a prominent global legal entity, specializing in key sectors such as insurance, transport, construction, energy, trade, and commodities.

An exceptional opportunity has emerged for an Associate (preferably with 2-5 years PQE) to work from the Manchester or Leeds office.

I am recruiting for a solicitor, ideally qualified for 2-5 years. In the role, you will manage a caseload and contribute to high-value, intricate cases.

The team engages in a diverse range of work, handling major insurers and corporate clients involved in catastrophic injury and large loss cases stemming from workplace injuries, public liabilities, road traffic accidents, as well as claims of sexual assault, harassment, and stress/bullying.

Additionally, the team possesses significant expertise in representing police forces in claims of misfeasance, false imprisonment, and malicious prosecution.

The team offers a supportive atmosphere and a hybrid workweek, with 2 days in the office and 3 days working remotely.

Key Responsibilities

Handling Employers' Liability and Public Liability claims for leading insurers and insureds, working on cases ranging from £50k to over £1 million.
Managing an independent multitrack caseload and assisting solicitors and partners with complex, highvalue personal injury and group litigation claims.
Drafting pleadings, formulating liability strategies, reporting to clients, preparing witness statements, issuing instructions to counsel and experts, attending conferences and trials, engaging in negotiations, and participating in various ADR formats.
Conducting research and staying updated on legal and industry practices.
