Description

As an industry leader in the automotive vehicle conversion business based in the North West of England, we are looking for an Accounts Assistant.

Due to the Company's rapid growth plans for the future we are seeking an articulate, proactive, ambitious, organised, well presented and motivated individual to support and assist the Finance Director in the operation of accounts payable and accounts receivable.


The Role:

  • Raise Sales invoices on time and accurately
  • Purchase ledger processing supplier invoices and reconciling balances
  • Produce monthly statements for customers and resolve any queries
  • Assisting with Credit Control where necessary
  • Setting up new customers and suppliers
  • Request & reconcile monthly statements
  • Assist with the monthly payment run
  • Process employee expenses, and credit card transactions and reconcile petty cash
  • Assist with Month & Year End when applicable including posting journals in SAGE
  • Assisting with the quarterly VAT returns
  • Assistance with the completion of annual accounts
  • Maintaining both the sales and purchase ledger functions
  • Posting and raising purchase and sales invoices on the ERP system Statement and bank reconciliations
  • Liaising internally to manage transactional upkeep
  • Assisting with the management accounts and month end processes

The Person:

  • Ability to show initiative and manage own workload
  • Good excel skills and adaptable to learning new systems
  • Solid understanding of financial systems and process
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate financial data
  • Achieved or working towards AAT or similar, ideally level 3 minimum qualification or relevant experience
  • IT literate with a good knowledge of Excel
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Confident to liaise with all departments and levels of staff and external parties

  • Excellent knowledge of Excel
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent problem solving skill
  • Must be an enthusiastic, committed individual
  • Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to work using own initiative and within a team
  • Experience of using Sage or other accounts packages
  • Experience of Purchase and Sales Ledger desirable
