Are you a knowledgeable Senior Surveyor, looking to take the next step in your career?


This role provides a challenging and exciting opportunity for a Principal Building Surveyor to develop the Building Surveying team and strengthen your own career and skill set, supported by the wider multi-disciplinary consultancy.


Due to continued and sustained expansion of our building surveying discipline, we are looking to appoint a Senior Building Surveyor in Glasgow.

This role will see you delivering exciting projects across a range of sectors to include heritage, education, healthcare, commercial, central government, defence and retail.

You can expect to join a vibrant team and inclusive office, delivering a varied range of building surveying commissions.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Building and acquisition surveys, measured building surveys, facet surveys, condition surveys and lifecycle maintenance planning
  • Building defect analysis
  • Historic building and heritage conservation
  • Expert witness services
  • Technical due diligence and Legislative compliance audits
  • Sustainability surveys

About You:


This role will suit a Senior/Principal Building Surveyor who has strong experience working on a variety of projects within the built environment.


In this role, you will dynamic, and ambitious, with real scope to be able to lead and shape our Building Surveying offering in Scotland.


Key Requirements:


  • Project management of building maintenance work, refurbishment and alterations of existing buildings
  • Experience working on historic/listed buildings and/or conservation projects
  • Contract administration (JCT / NEC3)
  • Knowledge of building principles, preparing plans and specifications
  • Ability to monitor and report on progress and expenditure of projects
  • Full UK driving licence
  • A professional and compassionate attitude
  • A commitment to delivering a highquality client experience
  • Teamworking skills
  • An inquisitive nature
