Health and Justice Services part of GMMH Specialist Service Care Group are looking to recruit a Senior Assistant psychologist to work within the multi-disciplinary mental health team at HMP Wymott.


Working within a prison environment can be a challenging place to work, we are seeking someone with strong clinical and interpersonal skills who are able to manage and respond to the dynamic needs of the team, the client group and the environment, to ensure that provision is accessible and appropriate.


We are seeking a full-time Band 5 Assistant psychologist to support the psychological services which currently implements a stepped care model of service delivery.


The post holder would be expected to be a key member of the multidisciplinary team and will support the assessment, formulation and dissemination of findings from psychological assessments and will be expected to have excellent communication skills and the ability to work with initiative and autonomy.

The Senior Assistant psychologist will also provide direct psychological intervention and group work support at the Stepped 2 care of provision.
