Your mission


Embark on a professional journey as a Logistics Planner with us where your primary responsibility will be to collaborate with the Strategic Sourcing Manager and key stakeholders to achieve 95% on-time delivery across all product lines.

Your focus on continuous improvement in day-to-day purchasing, supplier progress tracking, and Just-in-Time (JIT) delivery will play a crucial role within our Purchasing department.

Adhering rigorously to the company's code of practice, your role extends to facilitating new processes and meticulously managing the input of up-to-date information from the supply chain into live internal systems.

Global travel may be required, albeit sparingly and only when integral to the role. Join us in elevating operational excellence and shaping the future of our supply chain dynamics.


The Role
Your main responsibilities will include;

  • Day to day purchasing to meet with business demand
  • Continuous daily progress chasing, open orders with supply chain
  • Producing supplier KPI's
  • Ensure JIT & OTIF deliveries from supply chain
  • To assist the company in achieving 95% on time delivery on all customer orders
Specific Tasks

  • Order progress chasing
  • Updating internal systems and schedules
  • Day to day purchasing of stock commodities
  • Building relationships with suppliers and internal teams
  • Producing supplier KPI's
  • Raising red flags

Skills and experience


We are in search of a conscientious and dedicated professional to contribute to the daily operations of our purchasing department.

In the role of Logistics Planner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring all stakeholders are consistently informed about pertinent information concerning incoming supplier deliveries, thereby optimizing the business's ability to fulfil customer orders On Time and In Full (OTIF).

Proactive identification of potential issues and timely communication of red flags are integral to your responsibilities, allowing for prompt resolution actions.

Exceptional communication and collaboration skills are a prerequisite, involving various methods and channels. Given the global nature of our supply chain you may be required to travel.

The successful applicant will have good numerical, literacy, and hands on skills, and be able to demonstrate an innovative approach to producing solutions.

You have the desire and ability to develop your skills further over time, through coaching support and hands-on experience.


Knowledge

  • Engineering/Manufacturing
  • Strong Maths, Literacy and IT Skills
  • Mechatronics experience preferred but not essential


  • Microsoft Office skills

  • Excel, PowerPoint
  • Good listening and communication
- both written and verbal


Education
Mechanical Engineering experience / background preferred but not essential
