Financial Analyst

Pinpoint Resourcing are currently working with a hospitality business based in Holborn to source a Permanent Financial Analyst to join an expanding team.

Working with the Commercial Finance Manager, the post holder will be responsible for providing timely, reliable, accurate and insightful analysis which will allow decisions to be made on facts rather than opinions.

As the Analyst will be focused on operations there will be a strong need to model Excel reports, so there must be a high level of proficiency with pivots/nested sumifs/graphs etc.

An understanding of PowerBI would also be advantageous.

Key responsibilities:

Preparing detailed weekly and monthly reporting for distribution to key decision makers within prescribed timescales
Develop new reporting tools
Analysing sales mix to deliver insight to senior management
Assisting in producing annual budgets and forecasts
Carry out any other duties as required by the Commercial Finance Manager or Senior Management Accountant

Person Specification:

The role requires a confident individual, with strong communication skills, who is comfortable working with both junior and senior employees
Strong presentation skills, with the ability to explain the results of the analysis
Fully proficient and experienced in using Microsoft Excel
Ability to quickly interpret what information means
A highly curious analytical mind with demonstrable experience
Flexibility is a key skill, to deal with ad hoc analytical tasks
