Summary

NHBS is a world leader in supplying Natural History, Ecology, and Conservation books and ecological survey equipment to institutions, retailers, companies, libraries, academics, and private customers worldwide.

We are looking for a full-time Warehouse Supervisor to assist the logistics manager in managing the smooth running of warehouse operations.

This hands-on position includes Goods In, Picking/Packing, and Dispatch.

**Key responsibilities:
- *

• To assist in coordinating, managing and monitoring the receipt, dispatch and transferring of goods
• To assist in organising the recruitment and training of staff, as well as monitoring staff performance and progress
• To assist in motivating, organising and encouraging teamwork to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded
• To assist in ensuring stock control systems are up to date
• To maintain standards of health and safety
• To oversee the planned maintenance of warehouse equipment
• To deputise in the absence of the Logistics Manager

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• High level of numeracy and a good understanding of stock management
• High level of IT
• Good problemsolving skills
• Excellent team building and interpersonal skills
• Excellent planning and organising skills to effectively manage the flow of stock
