    Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Support children with special educational needs in a mainstream primary school.
    • Work closely with the class teacher to deliver effective learning outcomes.

    Required Skills and Qualifications:


    The ideal candidate will possess experience working with children who require extra support, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills. A relevant degree in Education or Psychology is desirable, but not essential for recent graduates looking to gain valuable teaching experience.  The students in this primary school have a variety of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, challenging behaviour or learning difficulties. If you have experience of working one-to-one with SEN or have a passion for supporting children with additional needs then this could be the perfect opportunity for you.  You will be expected to work within EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage), KS1 (Key Stage One) or KS2 (Key Stage Two) depending on your preference and suitability. A main aspect of this role will involve building rapport with your allocated child helping them feel confident both inside and outside the classroom whilst receiving high quality education.
