Description
We are looking for a Senior Biodiversity Officer on a temporary basis to join a team in Harlow. This role is an interim role whilst they look to fill the position.


As a Senior Biodiversity Officer, you will be part of the Environment Client team helping to lead, promote, advise and contribute to the development of the Nature Reserves and Wildlife Sites, and to assist in the landscape management of the town, in particular allotments.


THE ROLE:


  • To lead and develop the contribution to Biodiversity
  • To lead and coordinate volunteer projects
  • To understand landscape issues
  • To encourage public access to reserves, country wildlife sites and parks
  • To advise on the maintenance of natural habitat sites
  • Other duties in keeping with the team

THE CANDIDATE:


  • Degree in relevant discipline such as Environmental and Biological Sciences is desirable.
  • Experience with working with volunteers and contractors
  • Budget management
  • Flexible working hours including evening and weekend meetings
  • Competent in practical conservation or horticultural skills


This position is a full time position, it is on a temporary basis to cover the interim, to start as soon as possible.


Job Types:
Full-time, Temporary contract


Salary:
£40,000.00 per year
