Sunderland Care and Support is looking for Support Workers to join our award-winning company with immediate effect.

Sunderland Care and Support is a Council owned Trading Company supporting vulnerable people and children across the City of Sunderland and North East.


Telecare Services


Sunderland Care and Support is looking for Support Workers to join our Community Teams supporting vulnerable people across the City of Sunderland.


The Telecare Service is a responsive team who visit customers in their own homes who may require care following a period in hospital or a decline in their wellbeing.

We will visit for a time limited period and assist to set goals to promote independence and confidence. The Telecare Service will also respond if the customer presses an alarm for support.


A full driving license is required -
A vehicle will also be provided on shift.
The services operate a set rota featuring the following shifts:4-week rota -alternative weekends

Example:
AM Shift 07:00 - 15:30 PM Shift 13:00 - 21:30

The hourly rate is £10.98


It is essential that you have the following skills and attributes:

  • A positive caring outlook
  • Have excellent written and communication skills
  • The ability to work shifts (including evenings weekends and bank holidays)


All CV's should be supported by two satisfactory references, a current DBS disclosure and proof of a valid driving licence.

From £10.98 per hour


Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Sunderland: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:


  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

Experience:


  • Home care: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (preferred)
