Cumberland Group is a family run joinery and fit out specialist company which dates back over four decades. We offer and deliver high quality craftsmanship to clients across a variety of sectors.

We are currently looking for a Junior Buyer to join the team


Responsibilities:


  • Producing purchase orders as requested by the team in a timely and efficient manner and administrating the process from supplier selection to delivery.
  • Selecting the best products from suppliers, obtaining quotes for the best price within project budgets.
  • Assisting accounts with invoices and onboarding new suppliers.
  • Responsible for stock control and costs.
  • Reacting to any changes in product need, in particular relating to feedback given by customers/colleagues/contractors.
  • Working with contracts managers and forecasting purchasing demands.
  • To adhere to all Company policies and practices, legal regulations
  • To undertake relevant training and development.
  • To maintain filing systems electronically and manually.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have:

  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal and able to communicate at all levels.
  • Ability to prioritise workload, well organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • High degree of enthusiasm, energy with a cando attitude.
