Job Overview

We are seeking a Plant Health Specialist to support the seed potato industry in Scotland. The successful candidate will inspect seed potato consignments, collect soil samples and work with growers to maintain the high health standards of crops grown in Scotland.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in plant health and regulatory inspection. You will work as part of a team of inspectors and receive comprehensive training on tuber disease identification, inspections, and soil sampling methods.

Responsibilities

• Crop Inspection:


• Schedule inspections at designated farms across the Grampian area;


• Conduct thorough examinations of seeds potatoes for any signs of disease or damage;


• Record findings accurately using established protocols;
