Job Purpose


Work with warehouse colleagues to ensure efficient, safe and accurate handling of stock and delivery of high-quality service to all customers.


Responsibilities:


  • Ensure all requests from internal and external customers are met within agreed SLAs
  • Accurate entry of data into warehouse management system and KPI reporting templates
  • Ensure proactive communication to Supervisory team and wider business should there be any issues which will impact scheduled activities
  • May also be required to support with core operational tasks such as goods receipt, put away, pick and pack customer orders in alignment with established company processes and SSW documentation (Safe System of Work)
  • Assist with regular and ad hoc site activities such as full inventory checks, system development and implementation
  • Ensure all stock is stored, handled and transported securely and in line with company procedures, hygiene legislation and health and safety guidelines
  • Work with colleagues to ensure the workplace environment is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness, and complies with company and legislative standards at all times
  • Take reasonable care of both your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by your acts or omissions, ensuring all company safety and quality systems are followed and all relevant legislation complied with, raising concerns and reporting any incidents or suggestions to your line manager
  • Support and assist newly appointed or less experienced colleagues by providing training and guidance as appropriate
  • Provide cover for absent colleagues as and when required, and regularly refresh on processes to ensure this can be achieved effectively
  • Heavy lifting and moving of stock and large boxes
  • Any other duties that may be required from time to time for the smooth running of the business

Knowledge Skills and Experience:


  • Some duties involve regular repetitive light, medium and heavy lifting. Manual handling training to be provided
  • Previous warehouse experience
  • Total customer satisfaction (internally and externally)
  • Conscientious, reliable, with good attendance and timekeeping standards
  • Honest, trustworthy, able to work unsupervised
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Pragmatic approach to problemsolving without cutting corners
  • Good understanding of, and commitment to, safe working practices
  • Possesses a good standard of numeracy and literacy, and IT competent (MS Office)
  • Qualified and competent to operate a Counterbalance and Reach Forklift Truck (if required)
  • Actively demonstrates TD SYNNEX's shared values
