Cromwood Housing specialises in providing an array of property services to a selection of Local Authorities, Housing Associations, the Home Office, landlords and tenants.

Due to expansion, an opening has arisen for an experienced and efficient
Procurement Officer to join our Manchester team based in Prestwich, Greater Manchester.

The role involves inspecting properties for purchase or leasing and making an assessment as to whether they are suitable.

You will be required to produce detailed reports on the properties confirming their suitability and highlighting any works required to bring them up to standard.


Salary:
£27,000 per annum


Hours:
Monday - Friday, 9.30am - 5.30pm

Place of work:
Prestwich, Bury, Greater Manchester


Benefits:32 days paid annual leave (inclusive of Bank & Public Holidays)


Main duties for the Procurement Officer include:

  • Responsible for carrying out inspections to identify properties suitable to purchase on the open market
  • Inspections of properties and agree with the landlord to carry works required in order to acquire leases on properties to meet the needs of those organisations who commission the services from the company
  • Produce detailed reports of properties including measurements and photographs to support recommendations as to whether the properties should be procured
  • Assist in other duties related to housing management as required. These will normally be related to void inspections and inspecting repairs
  • Bring on more properties to the company by contacting landlord and estate agents.

Requirements for the Procurement Officer role:

  • Experience in inspecting properties with a view to purchase or acquiring leases
  • Good knowledge of the Manchester housing market
  • Experience in producing property inspection reports
  • Good knowledge of landlord responsibilities for compliance
  • Good record keeping skills
  • Able to respond quickly to changing demands
  • Valid driving licence and use of own vehicle
