The Package Manager role:

As a member of the project team reporting to the project manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, coordination and leadership of a number of sub-contractors employed in a variety of trades within the respective area of works.

The role requires a high level of interfacing between internal departments and external agencies such as; architects, engineers, subcontractors and client agents
Working with the Commercial staff write the Scope of Works for each package, for which you are responsible for
Managing technical aspects of the on and off site works
Review package tender information produced by design teams and comment where appropriate
Manage numerous packages for your designated area

Your profile

Must have Package Management experience and ideally in a variety of disciplines
Proven working experience relevant to the technical area of expertise in terms of functionality and capability
Knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards
An understanding of all facets of the construction process and overall construction/civil engineering industry
Familiarity with construction software packages, Planning/Programme Techniques
Has an understanding of collaboration and the need to develop internal and external relationships
Ability to prioritise, plan, schedule and evaluate works
Effective written and communication skills
Ideally an Associate or graduate membership of construction industry related Professional Body (e.g CIOB,ICE,CIBSE)
