We're re-examining our vehicles and what a vehicle means in the emerging world of automation, connectedness, electrification and the shared economy.
This is a new role in the Product Character and Performance team which is part of the Vehicle Architecture and Vehicle Engineering function.
The Product Character and Performance team is responsible for leading and shaping the customer experience by defining the product character attributes for all nameplates in the JLR house of brands.
To contribute to the delivery of world's most desirable luxury vehicles we are building a team to deliver Engineering events.
This role will be suitable for someone who is an established event project manager and is capable of producing and delivering events from concept or brief through to live phase.
The individual will have full accountability for their own projects and this will range from VIP experiences, Board of Directors drives, product showcases, market immersions, global benchmarking activities and bespoke engineering events.
It will be highly advantageous to have an automotive background as well as experience of delivering drive / dynamic events, an understanding of product lifecycles and the automotive engineering environment.
You will need to be an effective communicator, confident with leading a wide stakeholder group of varying levels of seniority, and be confident to lead and guide people through project stages to reach the best outcomes.
The role will be diverse in day-to-day work, with lots of opportunity to travel to different sites, venues, participate in and lead recce's, as the role develops it will also involve overseas travel.
You will have the chance to be close to JLR products as part of the role, be part of a hardworking and fun team with plenty of opportunity to put your stamp on your work.
You will lead high quality, value driven events and projects that will have a tangible impact on enterprise objectives and performance.
Essential:
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- Proven Event / project management skills
- Ability to work autonomously and proactively manage priorities
- Able to ensure a "Customer First" mindset
- Proven ability to build teams, collaboratively working across differing functions
- Able to travel overseas when required
- Driving Licence, with Class 2 JLR permit
- Experience of producing and delivering events outside of the UK
- Class 3 and Proving Ground driver permits
