About this opportunity

Cloud Services is looking for a Technical Product Owner to join the Technical Product Management (TPM) Team. Our strategic roadmap includes delivering new and improved Cloud platforms, products and services to our platform consumers.


Spanning across Cloud Services, the role plays a crucial part in helping deliver the Strategy and Management of our Cloud Products throughout their lifecycle, ensuring all Product Teams understand the curation process and management of their products.


This is a great role for someone who thrives working with agile development and delivery teams, growing an understanding of the Group's Cloud Services, together with the opportunity to increase exposure across multiple teams and senior members of the Cloud Services Leadership team.

Who are Technical Product Management and what do we do:
We're a small but overarching team, responsible for working with each product team to help drive consistency and efficiency, including:

  • Development and ownership of the Product Curation Process, with defined Lifecycle stages as a product moves from development through to full enablement
  • Enabling visibility and evolution of an over-arching product catalogue view
  • Driving towards the creation and usage of a standardised product roadmap across all teams
  • Creating a single Public Cloud Product Documentation Set to ensure a consistent and consumable set of self-serve products
  • Working with teams outside of Cloud Services to ensure Cloud Products follow the same rigorous processes
  • Working with the Cloud Service Providers to understand and influence their own roadmaps, to aid the exploitation of their products within LBG
  • Embedding TPM within Cloud Services and the wider organisation by presenting in various forums, training courses, Show and Inspire sessions and other events


Specifically, we're looking for people who have.- A strong technical IT background, with an understanding of Public Cloud Product offerings and a motivation to continue to develop your knowledge in this field.- Expert collaborator, both technical and non-technical.

Ability to work with and across multiple teams being able to convey process changes and requirements to audiences at various levels.- Experience working with teams who follow agile, Scrum or Kanban frameworks, understanding their delivery cycles and how work is aligned and prioritised against Quarterly Business Review (QBR) outcomes.- Ability to think strategically with a consumer lens in how to plan, record and visualise product roadmaps, curate and supervise consumer-friendly product catalogues.- Facilitation skills to co-ordinate the Technical Product Lead Guild, driving collaboration between product teams.- Strong analytical skills with the ability to create tracking information and dashboards to monitor product health using tools such as Power BI and Jira Dashboards.- Understanding of the Product and Software record hierarchy management in ServiceNow.- Comfortable using and structuring Jira/Confluence/SharePoint/Power Automate to compliment delivery and maintaining good record management.- Working with 3rd Party Business Partners and Cloud Service Providers, clearly articulating the needs of Cloud Services TPM in supporting workloads, issue and feature requests so to avoid any ambiguity and detrimental waste or delay.- The role also offers a number of opportunities to get involved with other Cloud Services forums to better support and jointly complete the wider Cloud Services strategy.- In terms of personal skills, having the capability to quickly form meaningful working relationships, be an engaging and intuitive communicator and be able to influence people at a senior level.
