We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in
Liverpool to assist with the appointment of a
Outreach Family Support Worker , on a
3-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion.

This role requires you to hold an NVQ L3 qualification in Health & Social Care. Preference for those who hold a clean driving licence. Full time and part time(14 hours) both availiable.


Summary:


Liverpool Early Help need an Outreach Family Support Worker to support the Early Help Hubs delivery of Early interventions to children and their families.


Essential

  • NVQ Level 3 in child care and education, NND, Health and Social Care qualification.
  • Experience of direct work with children, young people and their families.
  • Experience of effective collaborative and multiagency working to support children and families.
  • Experience of delivering outreach and home based support to children and families to address areas of identified needs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, using good written and verbal skills with children, families, other professions and multidisciplinary organisations in a wide range situation and at different levels.
  • Ability to maintain accurate, reflective records in accordance with Recording with Care guidelines.
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team across a range of services including Health, Education, Childrens Centres, Schools Family Support Service, etc. to support parents in meeting the needs of their children.
  • Work flexibly to support the overall operation of the Service.

Desirable

  • Ability to collaborate effectively and work in partnership with parents and professionals.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of child development.
  • Sound knowledge of signs and symptoms of Child Protection issues.
  • Experience of delivering practical parenting strategies.

Salary:
£13.00-£25.00 per hour
