We are looking for an experienced Portable Appliance Tester (PAT) to join our team of electrical testing operatives.


As a Portable Appliance Tester, you will:

  • Carry out visual inspections of appliances.
  • Carry out electrical testing to ensure that each item is safe to use.
  • Carry out fuse changes, plug replacements and reterminations where necessary.
  • Complete microwave Emission testing
  • Complete and submit data as agreed.
  • Manage appliance testing by the Code of Practice, 5th edition.
  • Must be prepared to travel; working away may be required at times with this role, some out of hours, including nights and the occasional weekend.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Qualified in City & Guilds 237
  • Basic electrical knowledge is an advantage
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • An ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A professional approach
  • Current Driving Licence

NO AGENCIES

Salary:
£25,000.00 per year


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability

  • PAT testing: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (required)
  • Qualified in City & Guilds 237
