Job description
Ardagh Community Trust is recruiting for a Projects Assistant to support our CEO's work across a wide range of the charity's activities.
This role is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised, personable professional with an interest in working in a local charity, to support our work at a critical time.
Applicants should be able to work well independently as well as collaboratively and have experience of managing multiple projects/activities and competing priorities.

Working Pattern: 3 days per week (22.5 hours), including occasional evening work

Key responsibilities include:
- HR: Support team members inc. volunteers as relevant
- Ops: General admin, confidential admin and project coordination
- Comms & Programme: Support as needed; confident communicating verbally and in writing
- Impact: Support the Director with impact monitoring and reporting
- Stakeholders: maintain partnership reporting, liaison and training
- Projects: e.g. supporting our core and external activities; supporting fundraising efforts; coordinating specific activities/meetings/events.
- Other: Attendance at key meetings; other admin & operational project support as needed. Ability to handle confidential information and awareness of GDPR.
Person Specification
Essential
- Demonstrable experience coordinating / managing multiple projects or programmes
- Strong communication skills; confidence working with people at all levels
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Skills in identifying and prioritising workload with the ability to work to deadlines and budget
- Comfortable working independently, operating good judgement on when to seek guidance and support
- Strong IT and / or aptitude to learn software skills
- Highly organised with attention to detail
- Resourceful and adaptable
- Friendly and able to work effectively as part of a team
- A 'handson' and collaborative mindset
Desirable
- Lived experience / awareness of our local communities.
- Experience of working with volunteers
- Experience with using and or confidence in learning to use multiple software packages (We work across a range of software including Gsuite, MS Office, Zoom, Wordpress, Mailchimp, Canva). Training provided as necessary.
About ACT
Ardagh Community Trust is a charity , set up by the local community in 2017 to take on responsibility for managing the Ardagh site - an ex-local authority facility in the centre of Horfield Common - for the benefit of the local and wider community through a Community Asset Transfer lease from the local authority.
ACT is working on a range of ambitious projects to improve the quality and availability of facilities for community use at the Ardagh.
