Two exciting opportunities have arisen for enthusiastic individuals to join Swansea Bay's Capital Projects team as permanent, full time Project Support Officers, based at Morriston Hospital, Swansea.


The posts will provide high level, business, administrative and on-site support to the Senior Management Team and wider Projects teams to assist with the delivery of Health Board building and engineering projects as identified in the annual capital plan.


The successful postholders will need the ability to deal with complex information and have excellent IT skills to be able to create and maintain spreadsheets, databases and other electronic systems to capture financial information and maintain accurate departmental and project data.

They will need to demonstrate they can manage and monitor financial and purchasing information and ensure accuracy of records and have experience of servicing a wide range of meetings.


We are looking for an individuals who can coordinate challenging and changing priorities along with managing their day to day workload with limited supervision, are able to act on their own initiative and who are able to cope with working to tight and multiple deadlines.


Provide support to the Capital Support Manager and Capital Support Officer to ensure that all administrative processes are effective and support the efficient management of the Health Board's estate and the delivery of all minor, intermediate and major capital projects.


To support, develop and maintain all bespoke administration systems in respect of functions undertaken by the Capital Team, in line with Prince 2 methodology.


Provide a full range of administrative services to support the servicing of meetings from design and site meetings through to Project Board and to support the team with all, design, and project management related administrative tasks as required.


Carry out processes in relation to all financial aspects of the delivery of projects including using the Health Board Oracle finance system, processing certificates and invoices, assisting with tender/quotation processes and maintaining accurate financial records.


Support, monitor and report on department wide processes including (but not limited to) KPI's, risk registers, mandatory returns and post project evaluations.


Assist with the management of departmental documentation, inclusive of collating and compiling feasibility studies, option appraisals, contracts, legal documentation, room data sheets and site development control plans.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
