Marketing and Communications Manager, Brighton, East Sussex, £35644, office based at Mouslecoomb site for this leading educational company but with some travel to other departments in the Brighton area.


This is a really varied and hands on position that needs someone with experience of marketing a service rather than an actual product - e.g.

marketing events, offers or services.


You will be responsible for:

  • Marketing commercial and membership activities.
  • Delivering high quality and impactful marketing and communications across all physical sites and online channels, to increase student awareness and engagement
  • Ensure all student marketing and communication channels are up to date, relevant and engaging.
  • Develop and deliver a marketing strategy and communications strategy to support the overall strategic plan.
  • Be the contact for the external website host, and ensure the content is up to date, compliant and accessible.
  • Regularly review branding and brand awareness, ensuring compliance across departments.
  • Be the key initial contact for all press enquiries, working with the CEO to ensure adherence to the media policy.
  • Prepare detailed analytics reports on marketing and communication activities.
  • Organise marketing activities for University Open Days and Applicant Days.
  • Maintain good awareness of GDPR to ensure compliance in all areas of marketing and communication.
  • Responsible for the recruitment, induction and ongoing training of all team members, in close liaison with the HR Department.
  • Carry out team member's formal and informal performance reviews.
  • Responsible for departmental budget income and expenditure.


Marketing and Communications Manager in Brighton will have a marketing degree or extensive proven marketing experience, ideally from education, charity or public sector organisation.

Strong leadership qualities, creative nature, strong project management and communication skills.

This is a full-time permanent role, working a 37-hour week, Monday-Friday, £35644, 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays and pension.
