About The Role:


We are seeking a Plumber to join us on our Facilities Management Contract working mobile across Derbyshire. GRAHAM FM will provide services related to both planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance of facilities in relation to mechanical and electrical assets, building fabric, roofing, roller shutter doors, fire alarm systems and domestic gas boilers.

Location:
Belper, Derbyshire


Hours Per Week:
Monday - Friday 40 Hours**
Job Type: Permanent / Full Time**
The Multi Skilled Plumber will be responsible for

  • Working as part of the Maintenance Team
  • Observe the highest levels of health and safety at all times, including carrying out point of work risk assessments for every task to ensure the best possible working practices are adhered to
  • Use your own initiative to solve complicated technical problems associated with reactive maintenance activities, including sourcing parts & materials and seeking manufacturer technical support
  • Liaise closely with our control hub to ensure efficient response to all works either working on your own or as part of a team
  • Provide detailed writeups of works carried out to ensure our client is kept up to date at all times.
  • Carry out all works within agreed timescales and to the highest standards, ensuring that you comply with current regulations and client specifications
  • Play a key role in planning and completing a range of works on various building systems
  • Provide exceptional maintenance services to our high profile client and go the extra mile to deliver to the highest quality standards in all areas
  • Utilise PDAs / mobiles to complete works
  • Deal with a variety of Clients on a daily basis. You will represent the Company and be courteous and professional in your dealings with them at all times.
  • Provide regular out of hours cover and participate in a staggered shift pattern to cover the client's core hours/callouts

About You:


Essential Criteria

  • Plumbing qualification with at least 3 years post qualification experience
  • Demonstrate relevant previous experience in a maintenance role, particularly in relation to mechanical, electrical, plumbing or gas services
  • Full Driver's License
  • Ability to attend site within 1 hour out of hours callout

Desirable Criteria

  • Demonstrate a sound general knowledge of multiple building services eg Carpentry
  • Demonstrate previous experience in a maintenance role in a university environment
  • Recognised Health & Safety training
  • Licensed MEWP operator
  • Knowledge of BEMS systems
  • Manual Handling training
  • Confined space training
