What to expect


Thorntons are market leading property specialists with offices throughout Scotland and our Estate Agency team deliver a first-class service to clients whether they are buying, selling or renting their property.

We are recruiting a Property Letting Assistant based in our St Andrews team.

In this role you can expect to:

  • Handle cash/cheque payments in accordance with set procedures and chasing outstanding invoices.
  • Undertaking periodic inspections/viewings, actioning faults, and arranging speedy repairs.
  • General Administration, data input and maintenance of file management including such things as arranging appointments for viewings/valuations/maintenance, preparing leases, occupancy agreements.
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory frameworks e.g. PAT testing & Gas Safe.

What we're looking for

  • The ability to build great relationships.
  • IT Literacy and excellent administrative skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Work in a customer service environment.
  • Good organisational skills and excellent communication skills.
  • Maintain a high standard of performance whilst under pressure.
  • Personable with a strong focus on client service and customer care.
  • Ability to work towards tight deadlines and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Takes ownership and uses initiative.

Hours

  • Part Time
  • Monday to Friday 9am to 1pm, 20 hours per week (Flexibility to adjust hours to suit school times, for example, 9.30am to 1.30pm)
