About Us

About the role

The role is to support an 18 month old in his family home, working as part of a vibrant team in a happy and friendly family environment.

Supporting him with his everyday needs as well as working closely with his specialist team including Physiotherapists.

About Me
I live with my mum, dad and older brother in the family home, we also have a friendly doggy. I am very close with my family and appreciate everything they do for me.

My mum does all the cooking, I need a blended diet and I can't eat anything that's high in fat.

My mum grows a lot of the food we eat in our garden and it's important to me that I eat fresh and organic foods.

I am fed by a JEJ feed.

I have a team of professionals who come to visit me regularly, including a chest physiotherapist, I have to follow a strict physio routine, but I need my support workers to help me with this.

I need help in getting around, I have a house chair for in and around my home, or sometimes my family will carry me before I grow too big I have a standing frame which I practice with, a sleep system and an outdoor wheelchair too

My mum takes me along to toddler groups to help me socialise with other children too, I really enjoy these and get very smiley and excited.

I like to have massages as these relax me, and one of my favourite things to watch is Mr Tumble.

My family take me on a lot of days out and I love to go on funfair rides, I like to be involved in everything and like interaction with people.

I also really enjoy swimming and this helps me with my joints, it also helps with some of the pain and stiffness.
