SUMMARY OF ROLE
To have responsibility for all inputs associated with the production and manufacturing operations associated with LPD Door-kits, Door-sets. Role and Responsibilities
This is a senior role within a new department of LPD Doors Ltd. The Operations Supervisor is responsible for the production and manufacturing and associated operational inputs for Door-kits and Door-sets.

The responsibility includes management of associated staff, review and plan manufacturing process schedules, inventory management, manufacturing procedures, budgetary inputs, operational efficiency effectiveness, and plant efficiency.

Employ, train, evaluate or discharge staff or resolve personal grievances. Provide coaching skills to develop accountability within the operational process of the department. Develop and implement production, quality, health & safety, maintenance, and other operational inputs. Prepare and maintain pertinent operation reports. Prepare and maintain skills matrix and personnel records. Coordinate and recommend procedures for facility and equipment maintenance or modification, including machine assessments.

Develop budgets and approve expenditures for supplies, materials or human resources, ensuring that materials, labour, or equipment are used efficiently to meet operational targets.

Ensure that activities are conducted within an efficient Health & Safety environment. Set and monitor product standards ensuring QA processes are implemented for materials received and finished goods to be sold. Plan and prioritise work need for operational activities. Oversee and manage appointed staff.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Relevant manufacturing and production experience from within a door manufacturing industry
• HND/BTEC Professional level qualification manufacturing/ engineering sector
• Kaizen, Advanced quality planning, Six sigma
• Understanding of H&S safe working practices
• P&L, budget, balance sheet understanding and experience
• ERP/MRP understanding and knowledge
• Understanding of manufacturing and procurement supply chain
• Extensive plant level experience with significant management experience
